MY PONYSONA !!!

WOAH this is the page that houses all the art of my ponysona!!!!! since you're here.. i'm gonna give you a little background on him for funsies. if you wanna skip to see my doodles of him, you can go ahead and just scroll!

some of the dates of completion may also be incorrect or simply absent bc i had to resave them from my art fight due to getting a new laptop, so idk if i can see when they were made
okay so. my ponysona is nameless but one time when i was making a ref sheet for him a very long time ago (like a year ago) i put "???" as his name and then shortened it to mark because it was funny. he's also half my ponysona and half an oc atp because i just like adding details to him in my head. but he's based on me
at the time i also had another ponysona who was a little shadowy wizard guy and he got the "quest" part of question mark. quest is retired now so i just have mark!
i don't remember when i made mark which is mega sad because he's lowkey the oldest recurring character type guy i have atm because i am simply not an oc haver. i believe he was made in nov '21 or thereabouts however.
mark is a unicorn with bug traits! or he might be a little alien idk. i think hes a pony hybrid and maybe is like surprisingly only 1/4 or 1/2 pony or something like that because i think it'd be funny. idk what the other half of his genetics would even be because i didn't keep up with mlp past when i was in 7th gradefun fact. of the day: his antennae and freckles glow in the dark! idk abt his eyes or hooves though.

afaik this is the first ever image of mark! i don't really remember if i used a deviantart base or drew over a screenshot myself but either way, it's a pixel version of mark in the style of the show.
i feel like i used some kinda of palette to make him but i really don't remember if i made the palette myself, picked it from an image or whatnot. specifics aside, this is the first drawing of mark!

this is the ref where mark got named mark! and like 8 months after his creation too LOL
i'm pretty sure i made this for art fight last year (bloom W btw) and although i don't need a ref anymore, i still think he's cute here. i like the way his head connects to his neck and the linework around the hooves.

ah yes. markipillar, my favorite gootuber. ok so mark is a bug right and i had been doodling him and i was like what if he was a caterpillar. i have unfinished mark caterpillar doodles saved on my laptop as well. he's weirdly cute and funny i quite like him

this is a bit older but i think it's so so cute!! i like how cute he looks here and i love how i did the linework. his expression is really nice too, he's so cute waaahhhh
update i just noticed i forgot the black streak in his tail. what the fuck.

he! is! sitting! i don't like this one as much as the previous one despite them being drawn ten days apart, i think its the mouth and eyes. he's still super cute though and i still like the linework a lot!

my most recent completed digital mark as of the publishing of my site! of note here is the color palette experimentation, the linework, and his droopy little ears. it's not the first time i've experimented with his color palette, but giving how its built, it's a little hard to mess with, esp. his hair. i like how he turned out being a bit bluer!
i've drawn him with lop ears before and i think he looks cute that way. it's not technically his 'official' design but i still like him being floppy. also of note on the subject of design changes, there's some cute details like his tail being a little longer and squared off, the face patch shape, the chest patch shape, and his ahoge which is usually present however not shown in the drawings i've uploaded above woops.
i also really like this linework! i love rougher brushes in general, and i like thick and thin style lining. i think filling in areas where there'd be a very very small (and distracting) gap with the thicker outside was a good choice. he's so cute here i love him
